Pastor David’s church started in 2012 as a home group. After two years of growth, the fellowship launched regular Sunday services. Today, it consists of about 200 people in three churches: Kisii, Masaai and Kuria. The church takes care of 29 orphaned children many of whom were abandoned by parents, and some other were taken away from their homes because of home abuse, maltreatment, or molestation.
Pastor David said: We thank every person for your monthly support. Because of that we give out hundreds of meals, buy blankets, shoes, matrasses and mosquito nets. We also bought more Bibles, music equipment and sound system for the church. There are many needs. We also want to plant New Testament churches and minister to the poor and orphans.
Pastor Samson’s church was founded in 2016 in the village of Kengariso at the Tanzanian border. At the beginning, it functioned as a home group, but has developed into a fellowship of over 60 members. The church takes care of 23 children.
Pastor Samson said: As for our greatest material needs, we dream about a much larger church building that could seat 300 people, and had musical instruments so we can worship God with power. Our spiritual needs pertain mainly to the daily filling ourselves with the Word of God. The Lord gave us a vision to live a holy life and plant next churches in the surrounding villages. Our aim is to win souls for Jesus Christ before He comes back.
Mission in Kenya is carried out by the Church of Glory and “Hope for the Future” Foundation. The purpose of the project is to meet the material and educational needs of the children in the orphanages managed by the two churches in Kenya, as well as to support the pastors to build strong apostolic churches. Thanks to the donations of individual people, the children are fed and continue their education. Every month, we transfer financial support to the above mentioned churches led by pastor David and pastor Samson.
A few years ago, we managed to visit the churches, met individually with the pastors, attended their services, prayed with them for the children, and shared with them the message of hope and power of Christ, and of God’s great plans. Last year, we also sent a gift to cover the cost of medical treatment of pastor Samson. We are very glad to see the work of God grow in Kenya.
